Ethiopian Airlines (ET/ETH)

Ethiopian Airlines is the government-owned flag carrier for Ethiopia and a Star Alliance member since 2011. Founded as Ethiopian Air Lines in 1945 and often referred to simply as EAL, the airline's debut flight took to the air in April 1946. In 1951 the company ventured into international travel and today fliers can take Ethiopian Airlines flights to over 82 destinations around the world as well as more in the country itself and in other parts of Africa. In fact, it is one of the most successful airlines in Africa and flies to more destinations in the continent than any other African carrier.
